Avv. Massimo Stefanutti

Massimo Stefanutti (Venice, 1957) began photographing in the early 1970s with an old Rolleicord and, in 1977, became a member of the Circolo Fotografico La Gondola, where he now serves as President. In 2001 he discovered pinhole photography and, within a few years, became one of its leading figures nationally and internationally. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the Osservatorio Nazionale per la Fotografia Stenopeica at the MUSINF (Museo dell’Arte e dell’Informazione) in Senigallia and curated major exhibitions of Italian pinhole photography. He is a resident member of the Ateneo Veneto, a former member of the Scientific Committee of the “Rèflexion Masterclass” led by Giorgia Fiorio, and currently serves as a board member of the Fondazione Nino Migliori, Vice President of the Fondazione Romano Cagnoni, Visiting Professor at the Fondazione Fotografia in Modena, and consultant for Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the CRAF in Spilimbergo, the Fondazione Museo delle Storie di Bergamo, as well as many other public and private institutions.

He is also a trainer and lecturer on copyright law, with a particular focus on photography, teaching for Sharecom and Wolters Kluwer as part of the Altalex program, as well as in specialized courses for photographers and legal professionals.

After completing classical studies, Stefanutti graduated in Law from the University of Ferrara and has been practicing as a lawyer in Venice since 1985. Registered with the Venice Bar Association and authorized to appear before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione), he has long specialized in photography law and intellectual property, providing legal representation in numerous cases and ongoing consultancy and support to professional photographers.
