Capturing the Moment: A Photography workshop with Adam Pretty
Adam Pretty, a special guest at the Trieste Photo Days 2024 festival, will be conducting a workshop for 12 participants in the city.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, 26th October and is curated by the Getty's professional photographer, a veteran of 12 Olympic Games. Known for his planning and design skills, Pretty is one of the most innovative and influential sports photographers.
The workshop will offer insight into photographic concepts, finding inspiration, choosing the right time and place, as well as practical application, composition, and storytelling.
Be ready for unpredictable moments and ideas that you want to capture.

Adam Pretty will guide participants through his personal shots exhibited in the "Play! Let the game begin" exhibition, detailing where he finds inspiration for ideas, how to put them into practice and the story behind the shots.
10:30 am - 2:30 pm | Photo Walk
Participants will embark on a photographic walk with Adam Pretty through the city.
Pretty will teach attendees how to identify the right time and place for a shot in different environments and how to develop ideas and concepts. Participants will have the opportunity to take their own photographs while Pretty will demonstrate professional techniques and approaches to the photography process.
2:30 pm - 3:30/4:00 pm | Review of the Shots, Q&A, and Conclusion of the Workshop

Participation is reserved for Exhibit Around APS members (registration by filling out the workshop registration form).
To participate, it is sufficient to bring a camera or, alternatively, a device that can take pictures (smartphone, tablet, etc.)
