Mark Power's major long-term project charts a journey across the United States, offering a sweeping exploration of America's physical, social and cultural landscape.
Through cities, suburbs, roads, motels, signage, marginal territories and urban spaces in transition, the work examines the gap between the American myth and contemporary reality, portraying a country marked by deep political, economic, and identity-related tensions.
Mark Power will attend Trieste Photo Days 2026 (23–25 October), where he will give a public talk open to all festival visitors at the Sala Luttazzi on Sunday 25 October.
Mark Power has been a member of Magnum Photos since 2002, and over more than forty years he has built a rigorous, contemplative practice based on long-term projects exploring the relationship between landscape, local culture and social change.
