The vote of the knockout phase of Trieste Photo Young 2022 has finally arrived to the Semifinals! The guests of the festival Trieste Photo Days will vote live on the last two stages of the competition:
- Semi-finals: Friday 28 October 2022 – Sala Xenia
- Final: Saturday 29 October 2022 – Auditorium Museo Revoltella
Congratulations to Monica Sposito, Luke O’Donovan, Romain Miot and Francesco Aglieri Rinella for making it to the Semifinals. As usual, we wish everyone a sincere good luck!
Trieste Photo Days will also host the collective exhibition with the 32 finalists of Trieste Photo Young 2022. The photos will be exhibited in the Sala Fittke from 28 to 30 October and 5-6 November 2022.

Born in 2021, Trieste Photo Young is a free contest dedicated to photographers under 30, promoted by the dotART and Exhibit Around APS associations with the support of the Pietro Pittini Foundation and in collaboration with the PAG - Youth Area Project of the Municipality of Trieste, within of the international festival Trieste Photo Days 2022.
Trieste Photo Young aims to discover, support and reward young photographers by offering them a prestigious exhibition space during the ninth edition of Trieste Photo Days.
An innovative and exciting contest divided into two parts: a first group stage and a second knockout stage (with round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final), along the lines of the World Cup. The evolution of the contest is available on the young.triestephotodays.com website, where the updated rankings are published as the jury votes. The contest took place online up to the quarterfinals, while the semifinals and the final take place live during the Trieste Photo Days, where the jurors present will decide the winning photo.
The Arturo Fittke Room hosts the group show with 32 photos classified in the round of 32, together with a selection of photos by local authors classified in the groups.
The 2021 edition of Trieste Photo Young culminated with the ex aequo victory of Michela Stigliano (Italy) and Oğuzhan Hacısalihoğlu (Turkey), both chosen by photographer Paolo Pellegrin during the live final of the contest.

Pietro Pittini Foundation was created to commemorate the death of Pietro Pittini, through the promotion and implementation of solidarity initiatives aimed at the personal, educational and professional growth of young people in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in particular the most fragile from a socio-economic point of view. and educational.
