George Tatakis is an Athens-based black-and-white photographer whose work has received 24 international awards. His photographs have been published in major outlets such as The New York Times, National Geographic, and Leica LFI. His archival prints, many of them numbered editions, are part of permanent collections including the Benaki Museum in Athens.
He has presented solo exhibitions around the world, including ETHOS at the Benaki Museum (Athens, 2018–2019), Caryatis Aether at Athens International Airport (2024–2025), and Caryatis Gamma – Thrace at the Silk Museum in Soufli (2025). Tatakis is represented by INSTITUTE Artist, Artion Galleries (Geneva), and Annapia Lorenzi Agency (Milan), with additional collaborations through Off-the-Walls Gallery in Hollywood.
Tatakis has partnered with leading organizations and brands such as National Geographic, Canon, Huawei, and Leica. His digital archive is preserved by the Benaki Museum, and his work is also included in the permanent collections of the Fragonard Museum in Cannes and the Avant-Garde Museum in Lugano.
