BIO
Polish-born photographer focused on fine art projects centred around a minimal aesthetic. Fascinated by urban environments, Bednarski carefully constructs his compositions, often exploring the relationship between people and their surroundings. His candid, environmental scenes blur the line between documentary and storytelling, infused with a strong sense of nostalgia.
PROJECT
With Measured Silence, originally titled La Vida Lenta, winner of the URBAN Projects & Portfolios 2024 category and exhibited at Sala Xenia during Trieste Photo Days 2025, Krzysztof Bednarski takes viewers on a journey through the small towns of Mexico.
A project dedicated to the art of slow living, it portrays everyday scenes unfolding at an unhurried pace, where rich colours and painterly tones create a deliberately nostalgic atmosphere.
Adam Pretty, President of the Projects & Portfolios jury, praised the series for its strong graphic quality and rigorous composition, describing it as a quiet invitation to slow down.
In his live talk with the festival audience, Krzysztof Bednarski shares how Measured Silence came to life and reflects on his personal approach to photography.
