BIO
A naval architect and marine engineer, Luca Menotti lives in Friuli Venezia Giulia and has nurtured since childhood a passion for plants and gardens that led him, almost naturally, toward photography.
After becoming a finalist in a local competition in 2023, he began dedicating himself to the art of photography with growing commitment.
Specialising in macro, still life and conceptual photography, he has collected recognition in several international photography contests including BIFA, TIFA, London Photography Awards and Chromatic Awards.
PROJECT
The project “Spring Entrapped”, flowers trapped in ice photographed in macro, earned him a Remarkable Reward within The Canticle of the Creatures, the international photography project promoted by Exhibit Around on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the Canticle of Saint Francis of Assisi.
Among over 650 participants from around the world, his images stood out for their technical quality and conceptual coherence with the theme.
Luca Menotti tells us how these shots come to life, where light refracts, details are amplified and matter becomes abstract.
