With a collective of over 100 authors from 5 continents, Street Sans Frontières focuses not only on classic street photography, but aims to give a broader view of what is happening in the streets of the world, a look at the human condition in the environment urban.
The project was born in Paris, the city where photography was born almost 2 centuries ago, as well as the first example of Street Photography, taken by Louis Daguerre and dated between 1838 and 1839. With a vision between photojournalism and street photography, the two Parisian editions alternated winners of international awards and even emerging authors from the most remote places on the planet, some of which are often invisible due to obscurantist policies in some countries.
Among the authors of the photos on show in Trieste, Eric Lafforgue was banned from North Korea for his photos taken in the streets of Pyongyang and that do not respect the rules imposed by the North Korean regime. Among the Italians, Marco Gualazzini (Contrasto) tells in photography the terrible earthquake that razed Haiti in 2010 and the hope that, despite everything, you can still find it on the streets of Port-au-Prince.
