Lorella Klun, born in 1962 in Trieste, is a graphic designer specializing in digital page layout programs, photo editing, and photographic processing. Following her artistic studies, she gained experience in various artistic fields, from painting to design. Since 1995, she has showcased her photography, exploring new expressive languages and experimenting with a range of techniques, from traditional black-and-white printing to rice paper printing, Polaroid Transfer, and digital processing.
Her photographic works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions across Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, France, Portugal, and Australia. In 2003, she was honored with the title of “Italian Photographer Artist” by the FIAF (Italian Federation of Photographic Associations). From 2004 to 2008, she taught in the FIAF’s Department of Cultural Activities.
Lorella collaborates with FOTOIT magazine and various cultural associations such as Graphiti, Arte Open, VirtualGart, and Skupina 75, contributing articles and writings on the history of photography and new photographic languages. She is actively involved in art criticism and photographic image analysis, particularly portfolios, through reading platforms, seminars, workshops, and meetings.
In 2008, she was included in the “Oberon” project, sponsored by the Regional Center for Cataloging and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at Villa Manin, a multimedia cataloging system for artists from Friuli Venezia Giulia who work with digital media.
