Vincenzo Labellarte

Art Advisor for Trieste Photo Days

Born in Bari, he began studying photography and darkroom development and printing as a self-taught. He later moved to Rome where he graduated in Architecture and deepened his study of photographic technique and language. In 2015, on the occasion of Open House Rome, he is in charge of the artistic direction of Niente Da Vedere, a multimedia event about the story of the city’s daily life. In 2016 he coordinates the organization of the collective project “Lìmine – Guida Ai Limiti Di Una Città,” curated by Massimo Siragusa, in which he also participates as a photographer, a project that in 2017 becomes a book published by Doll’s Eye Reflex Laboratory.

In 2014, he moved to Friuli, where he began a series of personal research projects on the region, and in 2024 received the Friuli Venezia Giulia Fotografia award from CRAF, the Center for Photographic Research and Archiving.

He is currently involved in documentary and architectural photography, producing personal research and collaborating with design studios, publishing houses, the Maxxi museum in Rome and other exhibition spaces.

He has published in media as L’Espresso, Int/AR Journal of the Rhode Island School of Design and with collective projects in Fotocult, Panorama, Huffington Post, Internazionale, IL Idee and Lifestyle del Sole 24 Ore.

Since 2023, he has been collaborating as Art Advisor and Photo Editor for Trieste Photo Days.
