Exhibition “WeHA, fragments from New England” by Daniele Garofalo, project selected by Maurizio Garofalo in the last edition of Trieste Photo Days.
“It's hard to tell the places, people, colors and atmospheres of New England" writes the author about his project. "Whether with simple words, or with the quick shots of a camera. New England is a motel of small wooden houses glazed by carpets consumed along the "highway". New England is the scent of scrambled eggs frying on a coffee table plate along with a long, black cup of coffee. New England is the eternal dance of electric cables suspended on poles that line up along the roadside. New England is also the scent of red cedar that mixes with that of the ocean. Finally, New England is a lighthouse that drives fishing boats in the night. During my wandering I found all this and much more.”
Daniele Garofalo
Class ‘83, creative and eclectic Milanese photographer.
From a young age shows a considerable interest in figurative arts and new technologies.
In 2008 he graduated in Applied Digital Communication at the University of Milan.
His passion for photography pushes him, subsequently, to enrol at the IED in Milan.
Daniele finishes the courses of the institute in 2010, graduating with high marks, in the same year, he definitively abandons the profession of computer scientist to devote himself entirely to the work as a photographer.
Currently he is involved with glamour photography and advertising, still-life and portraiture.
His campaigns, like his portraits, are always characterized by elements of innovation and research, mixed with the skillful use of colors, blurs, lights and shadows.
