On the occasion of Trieste Photo Days 2021, dotART cultural association had the honor of exclusively producing George®, Giorgio Galimberti’s first photographic book.
Giorgio is a longtime friend of the festival: we hosted it for the first time in 2017 for the exhibition “Muse Urbane – Tribute to Mitoraj”, and then again in 2019 for the solo show “Milan, the city that rises”. Last July, we invited Giorgio to Udine for a lucky impromptu workshop, which will repeat on 30 and 31 October at Trieste Photo Days.
A few months ago, thanks to the indispensable support of Lumix Italia, the unique opportunity opened for us to create George®, a prestigious volume edited by Angelo Cucchetto with the best of Giorgio Galimberti. The result is an elegant limited edition jewel with a hardback cover, 90 pages of sumptuous black and white that Giorgio will present for the first time at Trieste Photo Days, Saturday 30 October 2021 at 10 at the Sala Xenia (before the start of his workshop ).
The book will be available for purchase at the festival bookshop, together with all the Exhibit Around books.
From the photographic volume we have also drawn an exhibition, also set up in the Sala Xenia and open from Friday 29 October to Monday (morning) 1 November 2021.
