In occasion of Trieste Photo Days 2019, international urban photo festival, Italian cultural association dotART promotes a free Call for Dummies for the selection of a photobook project. The aim is to give to the winner the possibility to produce and promote at an international level their own photographic project, that will be published by dotART.
The first edition of the award, in 2017, was won by the Japanese Tadashi Onishi with Lost in Shinjuku, while last year there were two winners: the Greek Zisis Kardianos, with InLimbo and the Japanese Hiro Tanaka with Around 42nd and 7th.
What is Call for dummies? It’s a selection for a photographic book that the author will present in a pdf format with a defined bone structure even if not complete and ready to be printed. The winning project will be evaluated by the jury and the winner will have the unique opportunity to see their project being promoted and published at international level with a normal editorial contract by dotART.
